Ten million dollars on Hilton Head bought a house on deep water and the land to put it on, on an island that stopped making either a long time ago. Four hours inland, six million buys something Hilton Head no longer has much of at any price: room. This house sits alone on its own peninsula in a quiet cove at The Cliffs at Keowee Springs, about 1.7 acres with an estimated 650 feet of shoreline, and the lake wraps nearly the whole lot.

It was finished in 2025 and runs to more than 6,300 square feet. Twelve-foot ceilings, wide-plank hardwoods and exposed beams, a climate-controlled wine room off the entry, and a kitchen built around two islands with a working scullery behind it. The primary suite is on the main level with its own door outside. Upstairs, the guest rooms each have their own bath.

The rooms that matter most are outside. Retractable screens drop around a covered living room with a stone fireplace, an outdoor kitchen and seating for a full house, all of it looking down the cove to the dock. On Keowee that is where the day actually happens, and the design knows it.

From the dock you can run by boat to the neighboring Cliffs communities, spend the afternoon at the new lake club at The Landing, with its pools, dining and wellness spaces, and come home without touching the car. One Cliffs membership opens all seven clubs, golf included.

It listed at $5,999,999 and sold for $6,125,000, about two percent over asking. That is what six million buys in a market that still has shoreline to sell.

We work Keowee every week, on the water and off it. If a peninsula like this one is the life you are after, start with a conversation about what the lake costs to own and where the next one might come from.

How to read this. A tour is one property on one day, not a valuation. The six million dollar figure is the sale price, and the acreage and shoreline are the listing's own estimates. Markets move. Run your own situation with an advisor before you act on it.
