On December 18, 2026, Breeze Airways begins nonstop service between Greenville-Spartanburg International and West Palm Beach, Florida. The flights run Mondays and Fridays. Read that schedule twice. Out on Monday, back on Friday is not a vacation pattern. It is the rhythm of someone who keeps one life in South Florida and another in the Upstate and moves between them by the week.

Breeze announced the route in September 2026, with GSP president and chief executive Kevin Howell and Breeze founder David Neeleman on the release. It runs twice a week, year-round. An airline schedule is a demand forecast with a date attached, and a carrier does not add a Monday-and-Friday pair between two markets unless it expects people to live that pattern.
There is a number underneath it. In its July 2026 second-home study, Redfin ranked West Palm Beach first in the country for vacation-home demand: just under 6 percent of the metro's 2025 mortgage originations were for second homes, ahead of New Brunswick, New Jersey at 4.6 percent and Riverside, California at 3.8 percent. The new nonstop wires the Upstate directly into the market already buying the most second homes in America.
Mind the gap between access and ownership. A new route tells you where an airline expects demand. It does not tell you who will buy, and carriers cut routes as fast as they add them. One schedule is a bet, not a boom.
Still, access is the quiet half of every second-home decision, and it almost never makes the brochure. The question that matters is not how the house photographs. It is how hard the trip is on an ordinary Monday. A direct flight that puts you home by lunch turns a place from a vacation you take into a life you run, and the Upstate has spent years adding exactly that kind of access.
So if you are weighing a second home here, price the trip, not just the view. The flight schedule will tell you whether the second life is a habit you can keep or a trip you quietly stop taking by March.
If a second home in the Upstate is on your horizon, the advisory conversation is complimentary, and we will weigh the commute before the view.
